                                                                             Many  words in English contain the  i ei
                                                                             (scirwa)  sound.  A syllable witb this
                                                                             sound  is always  unstressed.
                                                                             Look at this list of words. Circle the
                                                                             syllatrles  with the /e/ sound.  Not all of
                                                                             the words contain the sound.
